Sorry I don’t see it being worth more that original MSRP. I thought Pinto’s were massive heaps of crap.
“Come and see her in northwest Montana for your self. The price is $8,500 which is way below thirty three bid 1977 25,989 mile San Jose Pinto Squire in 2010 which sold for over $12,000 and far below the $19,500 buy it now 66,000 mile restored Pinto Squire mentioned on Jalopik in ‘09"

$8500 in today’s dollars is less than $8500 in whatever year that Pinto is. That said, there is no way in hell I’d pay that for a Pinto. They are small RWD cars and can be fun to hoon, but no fucking way.

I always hate these emotional ads, they tell me nothing. I’m okay with a little blub to start things off, but please, just the facts, mam.

Accounting for inflation and assuming an original sale price of $2,000 this car would sell for $11,500 in today’s dollars.

Despite these cars being junk the engine from them was the gift that kept on giving with all it’s iterations over the years.

Because they’re such pieces of shit, there aren’t many left. The ones in good shape command a high dollar. It’s pretty hilarious that people actually think they’re worth paying that for.
